Question about dedicated hosting and SERP positions

Hi Everyone,
We are currently using vps hosting and are thinking about upgrading to dedicated hosting.
My question is can dedicated hosting improve your positions in SERP’s due to dedicated hosting being faster than vps hosting.

I do not think there would be an seo benefit, but dedicated hosting would be better as it offers the most control and protection.

It's very dependent on your page design/coding, not any server performance.
