Is it better to use hardware or mdadm raid10?

Hi,

If I have 8 SATA3 SSDs, I want to run cloudlinux and cpanel on them for shared hosting.

If you were to choose between a hardware raid card and mdadm raid10, which would you recommend?

I conduct research,

1. Some think a raid card will be faster, but today's CPUs are fast as well. Does it truly make a difference?

2. Some believe the raid card has a battery and the mdadm only needs server power, and thus if the server loses power, the raid data on the mdadm will be lost. Is this true?
