When selecting a dedicated server, there are a few things to keep in mind.
1. Your Performance Expectations.
2. Think about potential downtime while choosing a dedicated server.
3. Consistent Security Features
4. Technological Developments
5. Think about scalability.
6. Your financial situation.
7. Technical assistance.
Backup services are number eight.

If you're using an open source system like php/apache/mysql or Ruby on Rails, you'll want to use a Linux server. A Microsoft Windows dedicated server is required if you want to host an ASP.NET cypher, MS SQL server, or use Microsoft IIS.
RAM: Technique stacks that require a lot of RAM, such as Windows, Java, or Ruby, would require a server with a lot of RAM.
Bandwidth and Performance: Specialized applications like gaming or chat servers may necessitate multi-processor servers, such as twin Xeon servers. Furthermore, choose a host service provider with good speed and performance if you want to host video, photos, and other files.
If you don't require the expertise of a system management, consider a managed dedicated server. While they may be more expensive, they allow you to focus on your business.
